The holiday season is underway at Trillium Villa Nursing Home and residents have been getting into the spirit of the occasion.

Residents have helped decorate the Sarnia long-term care community's brand-new Christmas tree, which was a donated by one of the home's “amazing” family members, says volunteer and entertainment co-ordinator Candice Vrskovy.

Candice notes that residents and their loved ones have also been getting their photos taken in front of a Christmas backdrop by Marcy, Trillium Villa's spiritual care provider.

The holiday season has been creating fond memories for everyone who comes into the home – even a dog that came to visit had their photo taken.

“Family and staff have been enjoying some laughs while creating family photo memories – even a canine companion of one of our residents got in on the photography action,” Candice tells S&R Today.

The holiday season is always an important time of year for residents, Candice says, adding Trillium Villa team members work hard to make this time of year special for them.

“We are overjoyed that we're to be able to help our residents and staff make these memories again this year – and have the pictures to show for it,” she says.
