Twin Lakes Village capped off Seniors' Month activities in June by treating the Sarnia seniors living community's residents to a pizza lunch.
Team members ordered pizza from Domino's for the June 27 event, and beer and wine were provided as an extra-special added touch, notes Twin Lakes Village fun co-ordinator Gina McNally.
Team members also built a punch board and each cup was filled with prizes for every resident to win.
The event was a huge hit with everyone, Gina says.
“Residents are already asking when we can do it again,” she tells S&R Today, joking that, “I'm not sure if they liked the pizza for lunch or the drinks.”
June is designated as Seniors' Month in Ontario and Twin Lakes Village honours the month every year. The month is dedicated to recognizing Ontario senior citizens for their achievements and contributions to their communities.
In addition to the pizza lunch, Twin Lakes Village hosted its annual strawberry social and representatives from Great Lakes Law were on hand to provide an information session focused on wills and the importance of everyone having a power of attorney.
