'This is the best New Year's I've ever had'
Westmount Gardens rings in 2023 with an evening of live entertainment and refreshments

The Westmount Gardens new year's party was so much fun some residents were telling the London, Ont. long-term care community's team members that it was the best they had ever attended.
This year's new year's party featured live entertainment and refreshments and was attended by both residents and staff.
The event also featured the debut of musical entertainer Sarah Hall, who received “amazing reviews” from residents, says Westmount Gardens life enrichment manager Adnan Resh.
“She excelled at making sure this was a new year's eve to remember,” he tells S&R Today. “The residents loved her performance, and you could see the singing, dancing and a whole lot of enjoyment in the air.”
The event included wine and cheese as well as the obligatory champagne “to celebrate the end a great year and making way for a newer and better year,” Adnan says, adding the efforts the life enrichment team put forth helped make the event “a huge success.”
On new year's day, residents were treated to a social in the Westmount Gardens cafe which capped off the weekend's events.
Adnan says this past new year's was like no other for many Westmount Gardens residents.
“My staff told me that a few residents said, 'this is the best new year’s I've ever had',” he says. “You know we did something right when more than one resident states that this was the best new year's they've had.”
