To thank Heron Terrace team members for their dedication and hard work throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, Amy Sworik, the Windsor long-term care community’s administrator, organized a day of golf for them at a local course.
“(It was an) all outdoors, all fully vaccinated time to celebrate our team’s resilience (and) commitment, and to share more laughs and cheers that were well overdue and much deserved,” Amy tells S&R Today.
All team members participating in the golf day received gift bag with hand sanitizer, soap, chocolates, and some other treats and gifts. There were also prizes awarded to team members.
Heron Terrace team members who had to work during the event received pizza and gift cards to thank them, Amy says.
Not only was this a fun day for everyone, it also gave the team a chance to spend time together outside of work, she adds.
“It was so energizing to see their playful personalities and passion for life continue to shine outside work,” Amy says. “Our team is awesome.”
