Fairview Towers continued its annual Halloween tradition Oct. 31 by welcoming 27 children to the Kitchener apartment block’s trick-or-treat event.

There have been an increasing number of families with children who have moved into Fairview Towers in recent years, which explains the growing number of children coming to the Halloween event, says property administrator Lisa Fischer.

This year’s Halloween get-together saw more than twice the number of children attend compared to 2017 when 12 children attended.

The Halloween candies were donated by tenants and doled out by Lisa’s son and daughter, James and Alisha. Cupcakes and punch were also offered during the event.

The lobby was decorated in a Halloween motif, complete with ghosts, skeletons and spider webs adorning the area.

Lisa says several residents who do not have children or grandchildren even came down to the lobby to meet the young trick-or-treaters and compliment them on their creative costumes.

One of the great things about the annual Halloween event is how it brings the Fairview Towers community together, Lisa says.

“It was a really interactive event, and it went really well,” she says.
